Foods to avoid if you have hyperlipidemia

Just general guideline when deciding what food to eat. Not rules nor it has to be followed 100%. 🙂


  • Food with high total fat content (do not eat)
    Ex) Fried foods, whole milk powder, cream, high fat cheese (cheddar cheese, cream cheese), fatty meat and processed foods from fatty meat (sausage, ham, etc.)

  • Food with high saturated fat content (do not eat)
    Ex) Bacon, Korean white soup made from beef or port, cakes and pastries made from butter, biscuits, muffins, palm oil, coconut oil, chocolate

  • Food with high content of polyunsaturated fats (you can eat, but you should not eat much)
    Ex) Walnuts and seeds, vegetable oil, margarine is not good because it turns into trans fat

  • Food with a high unsaturated fat content (you can eat it, but you should not eat it too much)
    Ex) Olive oil, olive
